Experience a breathtaking hike from the Sattele parking lot along the Kaiser Franz-Josef-Weg towards Marlstein. From there, the trail leads you uphill to the Grünwaslkreuz, located below the Faltegartenköpfl. Over lush alpine pastures with small lakes and moors, the trail continues over the Feldringer Böden through the pine forest to the Feldringeralm before returning to the starting point at Sattele. This route offers incomparable views of the majestic Tyrolean mountains and leads through picturesque landscapes and fragrant forests. Enjoy the tranquillity of nature and encounters with cows and horses along the way.

There are small caches (treasure boxes) along the marked route.  You will find secret letters in each cache. Enter all the letters in your treasure map. Only those who have collected all the letters can form the solution word. With this solution word you can pick up a gift at the Ochsengarten Information Center in Oetz or at the Ötztal Infopoint!

Turn-by-turn directions

The hike takes you from Sattele along an initially narrow path, which then leads into a wider path to Marlstein. On this stretch you can already recover 4 treasures.  The leisurely path takes you past the Brotkastl, where you have to throw a stone up - if it stays there, you will always have enough to eat. On the other side you will find the cache.  The exciting journey of discovery continues, after you have enjoyed the fantastic view from the bench, to a slightly different tree. Very special "fruits" grow on this tree. Once you arrive in Marlstein, you can recover the cache by the goats and sheep. Please close the gate again.  Perhaps you have time to stop off at the inn or linger at the playground. The hike continues.

You must now take the path towards Faltegartenköpfl. The steeper forest path leads you through the forest, which soon thins out and you continue across meadows covered with various berries and juniper bushes.  As soon as you reach the Grünwasl cross, you have to stroll across the wide meadows to the Feldringalm. Don't forget to look for the cache at the Grünwaslkreuz. The Feldringer Böden offer you a fabulous view of the surrounding mountains, the Inntal valley, the Mieminger chain and much more. The plateau with its many small moors and lakes serves as a thirst quencher for mountain newts and dragonflies, cows and horses. After crossing the Feldringer Böden, the route continues through the pine forest to the Feldringalm. Perhaps take a short break here or enjoy the view and then head back to Sattele. Here you can either take the wide road or the small hiking trails and take a shortcut.
